Erich Günther was established in Germany in 1929 by the grandfather of todays shareholders Elke Ritter, Dirk Ritter and Denise Grawe to import and distribute dried fruits, edible nuts and seeds into Germany.
During this period we have established strong working relationships with various sectors in the German food industry eg Bakery, Cereal Manufacturers, Foodservice, Wholesalers, etc…
Erich Günther has been built upon its strong partnerships with leading exporters from all around the world.
The company sources and supplies products from many different countries, such as Georgia, India, Hungary, China but especially from Turkey.
We at Erich Günther regularly audit our approved suppliers. Many of these are BRC,IFS, HACCP and ISO accredited and are approved by our major German clients.
The company’s objective has always been to work closely with its customer base in order to establish a clear understanding of their requirements and specific needs, we like to form strong partnerships.
We ensure primarily that all of our clients’ quality and service demands are met and like to work in partnership on an advisory basis and not on a seller basis.
Over the best part of 90 years Erich Günther has expanded and a natural extension of our business in Turkey has allowed us to set up an office in the Manisa region in order to better understand the local dried fruit market so that we can help our clients make the correct trading decisions.
In 2006 we registered our own brand “CLENIA” under which we distribute the most products.
We work only with our own money and have our own store with 5000 sqm and with an average value of 3 Million EURO in Düsseldorf, from which we serve our customers needs. Our Truck fleet visits the customers once a week.
New company Clenia Tarim has been set up in partnership with Mehmet Koruk who has extensive knowledge and experience in dried fruit, pickles and tomato production and trading.
